I AM one of the little brave-hearts that need to be rewarded on the Independence Day and be ridden on the elephant alongwith the other brave-hearts. But will anyone ever listen to me? I want to be helped as helped are the women in their sixties. I am just going to be so within a year or two. Will some one lend me a helping hand?

A MOTHER is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden fall upon us, when adversity takes the place of prosperity, when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine, desert us, when trouble thickens around us, still she will cling to us and endeavour by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness and peace to return to our hearts.

I WAS talking to the counsellor of our hospital. For the first time, I could see her perplexed and embittered, “Madam, I can not change this patient! Neeta is next to impossible. NAGPUR: LAST week, we were discussing about the concept of self effort and God’s help. My sister said that God helps those who help themselves! On this comment, my friend Jyoti retorted that “No! God helps those who help others!!” My father, a passive listener till now, asked us, have we read the poem ‘Somebody’s Mother?’ Out of curiosity I searched the poem on Internet.
