Shepherd and the dog

In a village there lived a shepherd, His only income was through his goats and sheep which were many in number. He wanted to give his animals fresh grass as he liked them all and so he used to go from one village to another village to get food for them. He also had a ferocious dog to take care of the animals. He taught the dog to be faithful, but the dog was not at all faithful. Instead every night it used to kill and eat any one of the animals. The dog was very cunning it pretended as though it was faithful before its master.

Fathepur Sikri

The town lies about 37 k.m. west of Agra situated in Southwestern Uttar Pradesh. It was founded by Mughal emperor Akbar. He made it his capital. Akbar's son Jahangir was born in Sikri. He felt that the site of Sikri was auspicious. That is the only reason that made him declare Sikri as his capital. The fort was beautifully constructed here. But after a period of time the Mughal capital was moved to Delhi because of in adequate water supply at Fathepur Sikri. Recently during the excavations conducted by ASI (Archeological Survey of India) the remains of the fort were found near a Jain temple. Now it is maintained as a historic site.

Donkeys’ Nature

Once in a village there lived a donkey which never was satisfied of anything it had in its life. It used to work with a washerman. The washerman used to put heavy loads of clothes on the back of the donkey while starting from their place. Even while returning from the river he used to put the heavy loads of clothes which he used to wash and dry, on the back of donkey. The donkey was tired and also bored of daily lifting the clothes.

The fruits you eat, the flowers you decorate your house with and the air you breathe are all the valuable gifts of plants. Plants are the friends of the human beings. We cannot imagine our life without plants. Plants are the main source of food for us. Bread which is made from the wheat, the sugar that comes form the sugarcane, Honey which comes form the beehive are all the products of plants. Even the main reason for us to grow the plants is to eat them; there are many more reasons as to why we grow plants.
