Guwahati-Dadar Exp looted in MP

JABALPUR: IN YET another blow to the tall claims regarding security made by the Railways, unidentified-armed men robbed 5646 UP Guwahati-Lokmanya Tilak Terminal (Mumbai) Express near Bargad station late on Monday night. The train was running towards Mumbai.
When the train reached Jabalpur, the horrified passengers reported the incident to Government Railway Police (GRP) where a formal complaint was registered.
Railway Police Control Room informed that 5646 UP Guwahati Express was on its way to Mumbai.
Around 12:30 am, when it reached near Bargad Station, five armed goons pulled the emergency chain and stopped the train.
Later, they entered AC III-tier and started threatening the passengers and snatched jewellery, cash, mobile phones other items worth Rs 2 lakhs.
The traumatic experience of the passengers continued for half an hour after which all the goons left the train and disappeared in the darkness. The robbed passengers, along with TT Anil Gajbhiye, reported the matter to GRP Jabalpur. It may be recalled that recently Sanghmitra Express was robbed near the same station and GRP has not yet arrested any culprit behind loot incident.
