CM, other leaders to grace BJP convention on 31st Mar. 31st, 2009

JABALPUR: IN SPECIAL presence of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, the Parliamentary Constituency Workers’ Convention of Jabalpur Lok Sabha seat will be organised at Shaheed Smarak ground from 11 am onwards on March 31.

To organise the convention in a grand manner, all the party-level preliminary preparations are being carried out on war footing. Office-bearers of BJP Jabalpur City and Rural Units in special presence of Mandal President, General Secretary, Morcha Head along with BJP corporators former corporators and candidates, who contested Municipal elections in previous elections, attended meetings to discuss the programme. Senior party leaders are providing their guidance to ensure smooth conduct of the programme. Addressing the meeting, Speaker of State Assembly Ishwardas Rohani said, “With declaration of the election programme preparations have been started. A feeling of sure success is prevailing amongst the party workers. The supporters seem confident of their success.” Rohani further added that the Congress has fielded its candidate who does not belongs to Jabalpur and has no relation with the city. People of Jabalpur are well aware that BJP’s candidate Rakesh Singh, sitting MP from Jabalpur, is actively and dedicatedly working for the rights of Jabalpur and whole Mahakoshal region in the Parliament. Rohani advised to the party workers to hold regular public contact appealing voters to cast their votes in favour of BJP candidate Rakesh Singh on April 23. He also appealed to the workers to extend full support for the convention and invited every worker up to booth level to attend the event. BJP City Chief Anil Sharma said that every party worker is aware and vigilant towards its responsibilities. For the forthcoming elections every BJP worker would work with full devotion and sincerity. “BJP candidate Rakesh Singh has maintained co-ordination and public contact. On basis of his performance, he has been given the ticket for the second time,” added Sharma. Sharma further said, “He would register victory with huge margin of votes. He further appealed to all the office-bearers and leaders to ensure that every party worker from every part of the city should participate in the convention.” Later, Sharma took an account of preparations from the participating Morcha, Mandal, Booth-level committees about preparations for the convention. Dr Vinod Mishra informing about the programme said that as per the party guidelines in every Parliamentary constituency conventions of party workers would be organised. In this series, the Parliamentary Constituency Jabalpur BJP Workers’ Convention would be organised on March 31. The meeting was also addressed by BJP Organisation Assistant Govind Arya. Those who attended the meeting were Bharat Singh Yadav, Ghanshayam Gupta, Dinesh Rathore, Vinay Amlathe, Rajesh Diwedi, Jaipal Gogya, Shriram Shukla, Bal Govind Tiwari, Pandit Sharda Prashad Dubey, Sushil Sharma, Ranjeet Thakur, Shayam Kanogia, Kusum Choubey, Prabha Yadav, Sangeeta Chadhar and others. In the corporators meeting, JMC Chairperson Anuradha Pandey, Ashok Rohani, Chakresh Nayak, Ram Naresh Patel, Abhay Singh Thakur, Sharad Tamrakar, Virendra Sonkar, Nand Kumar Yadav, Rajesh Mishra, Anil Tiwari, Swati Godbole, Sarvesh Mishra, Cantt. Board Vice-President Abishek Chouksey and others were present.
